Architecture is a permanent act in a rapidly changing environment, the stationary against the seismic. The 2021 ArchiTeam Conference explores the theme “Trajectories” – how small and medium practice architects might respond to a changing world that urgently needs better design.

Post pandemic, many Australians have a new found appreciation for what it means to dwell in a space, in a community and in a city. In cities, spatial qualities and relationships have also been brought sharply into focus.

We were briefed to develop a branded identity for the conference that would uplift and capture the momentum of the time. Colourful geometric gymnastics were designed, offering a glimpse of a possibly rebalanced future.

Curves and surfaces are at a constant angle, creating a dynamic identity throughout the event collateral. Sharp linework accompanies, interrupts and punctuates the type. Motifs like steps, arches and arrows strongly recall the built environment.
