Macedon Ranges Shire Council
Family violence has been shown to increase during natural disasters. We collaborated on a local campaign that has been so well received it has begun being distributed Australia-wide.
Design Democracy worked with Macedon Ranges Shire Council to produce posters, flyers and wallet cards to raise awareness of increased family violence after natural disasters.
The target audience includes women or children experiencing family violence along with family and friends – girls and boys, men and women of all ages – who might be concerned about someone. The flyers and posters will be placed around the Emergency Relief and Recovery Centres during natural disasters.
The collateral has been so well received it has begun being distributed across multiple municipalities Australia-wide. To meet this increased demand we built an editable suite of materials that can be easily updated by community organisations with limited access to resources.
