Architecture is a permanent act in a rapidly changing world — the stationary against the seismic. The 2021 ArchiTeam Conference took that tension as its starting point, gathering Australia's small and medium practice architects around the theme of Trajectories — an urgent and timely exploration of how design might respond to a world in flux.

In the wake of the pandemic, Australians had developed a renewed and deeply felt appreciation for the spaces they inhabit — their homes, their communities, their cities. Spatial qualities and relationships that had long been taken for granted were suddenly brought into sharp focus. The conference brief called for an identity that could hold that moment — uplifting, forward-looking, and alive with possibility.
