A milestone merger, designed for everyone

A milestone merger, designed for everyone

#impact #accessibility

Bank Australia is a certified B Corp and Australia's first customer-owned bank — an organisation with a genuine and longstanding commitment to generating positive impact for people and the planet. It is a bank that operates differently, and we have been proud to help communicate that difference through design for over fourteen years.

Alongside our annual work on the bank's Impact and Financial Reports, we had the privilege of collaborating on merger communications for customers — documents designed to inform and guide a landmark decision, and built to be read and navigated by everyone, including people with disabilities using assistive technology such as screen readers. For an organisation whose values place people at the centre of everything, that commitment to accessibility is as important as the message itself.

The vote was a resounding success, with 91% of customers in favour of merging with Qudos Bank — a result that opens the door to better products and services while preserving the customer-owned ethos that has always defined Bank Australia. We look forward to what the next chapter brings.
